Minnetonka at Edina
7 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 17

Minnetonka started the season strong, winning 14 of its first 15 games. But the No. 4-4A Skippers are 4-3 since, including back-to-back losses to No. 3-4A St. Michael-Albertville and No. 1-4A Hopkins. Minnetonka also fell to Eden Prairie 65-62 on Feb. 5.

A victory over Edina could help Minnetonka (18-4, 3-2) enter its regular-season finale with Hopkins riding a wave of momentum.

Junior forward Courtney Fredrickson (16.2 points per game) and senior guard Caroline Shelquist (11.3 ppg) are the top offensive threats on a Skippers team averaging 65.1 ppg.

Fredrickson had 12 points and Shelquist added nine in a 53-34 victory over Edina on Jan. 30.

Five of Edina's six losses have been to ranked Class 4A opponents (No. 1 Hopkins twice, No. 9 Chanhassen and No. 10 Shakopee, as well as Minnetonka).

Senior guard Jill Morton (15.7 ppg) and sophomore forward Annika Jank (15.6) pace the offense for the No. 7-4A Hornets (16-6, 3-3).
