Hopkins at Edina
7 p.m., Friday, Feb. 13

Edina continues to hang on to a top-10 ranking despite five losses.

The No. 7 Hornets (14-5, 2-2) remain ranked due in part to victories over once-ranked Maple Grove (49-48), No. 3-4A St. Michael-Albertville (71-70) and No. 8-4A Rochester John Marshall (42-31).

But Edina may not be able to stay in the top 10 with a loss to Lake Conference rival No. 1-4A Hopkins (18-1, 4-0), which has dominated nearly every team it faced this season including the Hornets in a 67-30 victory on Jan. 9.

Sophomore forward Annika Jank (16.4 ppg) and senior guard Jill Morton (15.8 ppg) are Edina's leading scorers, but combined for only 15 points in the loss.

The Royals counter with a trio of guards in juniors Nia Hollie (14.3 ppg), Ashley Bates (14.2 ppg) and senior T.T. Starks (12.8 ppg), who have Hopkins on a 15-game winning streak and atop the Lake Conference standings.
