St. Croix Lutheran at Holy Angels
7 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 3

A staunch defense has propelled St. Croix Lutheran to a 15-3 record and the No. 9 ranking in Class 2A. The Crusaders, who are battling Minnehaha Academy for the top seed in Section 4, allow only 40.7 points per game.

St. Croix Lutheran couples its defense with an effective offense (50.4 ppg), paced by junior forward Danica Cambrice (13.4 ppg in 14 games) and freshman guard Audrey Godison (11.0 ppg in 14 games).

Holy Angels (15-4), however, may have the offensive weapons to combat the Crusaders’ defense. Junior forward Laura Bagwell-Katalinich (22.2 ppg) and eighth-grade forward Destinee Oberg (13.0 ppg) combine to form a formidable frontcourt for the Stars.

St. Croix Lutheran edged Holy Angels 57-56 in the semifinals of the Simley Holiday Tournament on Dec. 30.
