Kasson-Mantorville at Rochester Lourdes

Kasson-Mantorville dropped from No. 3 to No. 8 in the Class 3A rankings after losses to No. 7-3A Hutchinson and No. 4-3A New Prague last week. 

The KoMets, however, responded with a 63-56 victory over Goodhue on Jan. 22 and look to bring a winning streak in a Hiawatha Valley Conference Gold Division matchup at Rochester Lourdes on Jan. 30. 

Kasson-Mantorville (16-3, 4-0) enters the week atop the league standings, while Rochester Lourdes (9-6, 2-1) is in second place.

The KoMets cruised to an 85-56 over the Eagles on Dec. 16 behind the play of sophomore center Kristin Scott, who scored 22 points and had 10 rebounds. Eighth-grader Peyton Suess chipped in 14 points and finished with 10 rebounds for Kasson-Mantorville in the victory.

Rochester Lourdes sophomore guard Katie Helt scored 17 points in the loss.
