At MN Fury MLK Classic, St. Catherine University, St. Paul
8 p.m., Monday, Jan. 19

Chanhassen has another chance to knock off a Lake Conference heavyweight when the Storm plays Eden Prairie in the Minnesota Fury MLK Classic at St. Catherine University in St. Paul.

Chanhassen (9-5) enters the game on a four-game winning streak, which includes a 44-38 win over No. 10-4A Edina on Jan. 6. The Storm have run the gauntlet in terms of scheduling, with four of their five losses coming against ranked teams in No. 9-4A Shakopee, No. 2-4A Minnetonka, No. 7-4A Roseville and No. 5-4A Rochester John Marshall. Senior guards Martha Kuderer (16.7 ppg) and Danielle Gitzen (16.4 ppg) pace the Storm on offense.

Eden Prairie (9-5) may be experiencing the same type of up-and-down season as Chanhassen, but the Eagles' game plan differs from the Storms'. Eden Prairie runs its offense through their frontcourt, led by senior forward Emma Boehm (15.1 ppg).
