Eden Prairie at Edina
7 p.m., Friday, Jan. 23

Eden Prairie has not fared well against the top teams in Class 4A, losing to No. 1 Hopkins, No. 2 Minnetonka and No. 3 Eastview. The Eagles look to buck the trend when they travel to No. 10 Edina for a Lake Conference matchup on Jan. 23.

Eden Prairie (9-5, 1-2) has the talent to turn the tide. Senior forward Emma Boehm (15.1 ppg) is a stalwart on offense, and freshman forward Christianna Carr (9.2 ppg) provides a great spark off the bench.

The Eagles also have junior guard Esabelle Levine (11.3 ppg) and sophomore forward Lindsay Eliasen (4.7 ppg), who scored a game-high 16 points in a 79-43 victory at DeLaSalle on Dec. 16.

Edina recorded a signature victory in its last game, ending Rochester John Marshall’s undefeated season with a 42-31 victory on Jan. 17. The Hornets (10-4, 1-1) rely heavily on the inside/outside combination of sophomore forward Annika Jank (17.5 ppg) and senior guard Jill Morton (15.7 ppg), and Edina needs both players to keep up the scoring in this league matchup.
