Eastview at Shakopee
7:45 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 20

Eastview is on a five-game winning streak since losing to No. 1-4A Hopkins 68-55 on Dec. 31, and the Lightning look to make it six straight when they head to Shakopee for a South Suburban Conference showdown on Jan. 20.

The No. 3-4A Lightning (13-1, 6-0) rely on the tandem of senior guard Madison Guebert (20.9 ppg) and senior forward Sam Trammel (15.3 ppg), who recently committed to the University of Michigan, for most of the offense. Sophomore guard Rachel Ranke (10.5 ppg) can be a viable scoring threat if Guebert and Trammel cannot produce.

No. 9-4A Shakopee (10-3, 5-1) seems to have settled comfortably into the league, winning five of its six conference games - including last week when the Sabers defeated Farmington (72-53) and Apple Valley (64-53). A win over Eastview could move Shakopee up in the league standings and the state rankings.

Junior guard and North Carolina commit Taylor Koenen (19.8 ppg, 7.1 rpg) leads the Sabers on offense, while junior forward Caleigh Rodning (10.4 ppg) gives Shakopee a presence inside.
