St. Michael-Albertville at Buffalo
7:15 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 8

St. Michael-Albertville and Buffalo begin the Mississippi 8 Conference portion of their schedules this week, and the Knights travel to play the Bison in an early Blue Division matchup.

A trio of guards leads No. 5-4A St. Michael-Albertville (6-2), as sophomore Rae Johnson (15.5 ppg), senior Bobbi Brendefur (14.4 ppg) and junior Sydney Tracy (11.4 ppg) spearhead the Knights' offense. And what a potent offense it's been. St. Michael-Albertville has outscored opponents by a dazzling 557-405 combined mark.

Buffalo (5-3) looks to have the players to challenge the Knights. Senior guard Carolyn Feddema (13.6 ppg) leads the Bison's backcourt, while sophomore forward Cadyn Luedemann (12.0 ppg) and senior center Anika Fredrick (9.9 ppg) provide Buffalo with a talented pair of frontcourt players.

This game is more than a conference matchup, however, as the winner will have an early advantage for seeding in Section 8.

St. Michael-Albertville defeated Buffalo twice in the regular season last year.
