Edina at Hopkins
7 p.m., Friday, Jan. 9

Sophomore forward Annika Jank (18.3 ppg) and senior guard Jill Morton (17.1 ppg) give the No. 4-2A Hornets (8-2) a potent inside-outside combination.

No. 2-4A Hopkins (11-1) has possibly the most talented contingent of guards in the state. That group is led by senior T.T. Starks (14.6 ppg), who was named the Most Valuable Player at the St. Olaf Holiday Classic tournament.

The Royals' other guards can score, too. Juniors Ashley Bates (14.5 ppg) and Nia Hollie (13.4 ppg) are productive, to say the least. Viria Livingston (7.7 ppg) is also capable of having a big game. The senior scored 19 points in Hopkins' 94-52 victory over Eagan in the opening round of the St. Olaf holiday tournament on Dec. 29.
