Mounds View's last victory over Suburban East Conference rival White Bear Lake was on Jan. 6, 2012. The Mustangs (3-1) have a high-scoring guard-forward combination in senior Jacky Volkert (25.5 points per game) and junior Becky Volkert (12.5 ppg). The sisters balance out the offensive attack, but sophomore guard Erin Saemrow (10.8 ppg) and can take some of the heat off Jacky Volkert in the backcourt. 

White Bear Lake has its own offensive duo, with junior guard Alison Hinck (17.2 ppg) and junior forward Brianna Karg (10.7 ppg) leading the Bears (4-2, No. 7-4A).

The Bears won 64-39 the last time these teams met.
