Edina at Lakeville North
7 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 2

Edina, ranked No. 8-4A, hasn’t made it to the state tournament since 2012, but the Hornets may be able to make it back this season with a team led by a pair of guards - senior Jill Morton (16.1 points per game) and sophomore Annika Jank (11.5 ppg) - who can control the tempo of the game.

Lakeville North finished fourth at state last year and posted a 21-11 record. The No. 5-4A Panthers have already beaten Bloomington Kennedy this season, but lost to Orono on Nov. 29.

Lakeville North returns four of its top five scorers, highlighted by sophomore guard Temi Carda (9.9 ppg) and senior forward MacKenzie Denk (10.6 ppg).

The Panthers defeated the Hornets 47-34 in the season opener last year.
