No. 1-1A Minneota at No. 13-1A Canby
7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 11

Speaking of teams streaking through the season, top-ranked and defending Class 1A champion Minneota has been that program. The Vikings returned all five starters from last year’s championship team, including star post Taylor Reiss (23.8 ppg). She has good size, but even better athleticism in the paint. Combine her tenacity with that of Molly Hennen, Payton Boerboom, Emily Stienessen, Shelby Corbin and point guard Megan Larson and the Vikings have as much depth and talent as any team in the state. The Vikings already defeated Canby once this year, 56-37 on Dec. 17 in Minneota. But the Lancers have a nice inside-outside combo of senior post Ricki Kalhoff (12.2 ppg) and senior point guard Morgan Merritt (16.7 ppg) and could be dangerous in the rematch.
