No. 4 White Bear Lake at Park
7:15 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 11

Just five days ago, White Bear Lake continued its impressive start to the season by beating Park of Cottage Grove 53-49. The Bears have lost only once, a surprisingly low number considering they aren’t laden with All-State superstars. But the young Bears do play tight defense and have allowed fewer than 50 points in a game 10 times this winter. And, all right, we’re past the time to talk about season starts — this White Bear Lake team isn’t an upstart anymore. In the first meeting on Feb. 6, Park’s Sydney Lamberty (21.9 ppg) went off for 25 points as the Creighton recruit is wont to do, but the Bears limited the rest of the Wolf Pack to a combined 24 points. Meanwhile, only Niki Daul (10.8 ppg) scored in double-figures with 13 points for White Bear Lake, but nine players in total scored for coach Jeremy Post’s club. Alison Hinck (11.1 ppg) paces the Bears in scoring average.
