Anoka at No. 2-3A Park Center
7 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 5

Anoka and Park Center are chasing Centennial in the Northwest Suburban Conference race entering February, but with a handful of remaining head-to-head games, there is plenty to be decided. Anoka would like to get the taste of the first meeting out of its mouth, as Park Center rolled to a 71-36 victory on Dec. 19 in Anoka. Pirates’ star Cayla McMorris (21.0 ppg) racked up a game-high 26 points, while teammate Mikayla Hayes (10.4 ppg) added a double-double (12 points, 12 rebounds). The Pirates held a talented Tornadoes squad to just 10-of-48 shooting and only 15 first-half points. Anoka has won four in a row overall, so momentum is in its grasp, although Park Center has won seven straight. Claire Lundberg (14.6 ppg) and Kyrah Fredenburg (14.2 ppg) pace the Tornadoes.
